Why this worked

Positions: real SportVU tracking, direction-normalized. Heights/weights: Basketball-Reference (bulk-fetched and matched against all 450 players in this dataset, incl. accent/nickname resolution). Court and player geometry: hand-rolled perspective projection (no 3D library). Every caption and the closing verdict are templated from real computed distances, PPP, and outcomes -- zero model calls per play. 724 plays across all 30 teams: for every (opening set, first action) combo making up at least 2% of a team's own possessions, the best-performing lineup's cleanest score and the highest-volume worst-performing lineup's cleanest miss/turnover.
